Large dark brown tabby, fur ragged and patchy from fighting as a kit.

PERSONALITY

Raggedstar was proud, cunning and dominant - his formidable attitude and figure garnered respect from his Clan, and was known to them as a noble cat, even though it was his own mistake that led to a future of blood for them. Raggedstar was a fierce and great fighter, arrogant even to the will of StarClan.

Raggedstar is mentioned as the father of Brokenstar, but was killed in secret by his ambitious son before the series began.

GENERAL
Raggedstar fell in love with the medicine cat Yellowfang, and she bore him three kits, but only one survived. He raised Brokenkit, soon Brokentail, with one purpose in mind - to succeed him as leader on day. Raggedstar was blind to the faults of his kin; his bloodthirsty and violent nature. So, when he was old enough, Raggedstar appointed Brokentail as deputy. Brokentail soon murdered Raggedstar to become leader, and his death was masked as a casualty on a border skirmish. It is also known that Raggedstar defeated rats in a battle at Carrionplace that kept ShadowClan safe for many moons.
