PHYSICAL

Mothwing is a gorgeous golden dappled she-cat, with glowing amber eyes and a triangular face. Her fur is long and ripples with darker tabby stripes.

PERSONALITY

othwing is kind but very insecure in her abilities as a medicine cat. Polite, enthusiastic and down to earth, Mothwing does not believe in StarClan, but only in the healing of the Clans through herbs.

HISTORY

othwing was born in rogue territory to Sasha, a rogue she-cat who brought her and her brother to RiverClan. Mothwing aspired to be a medicine cat, but faced prejudice from RiverClan - should a non-clanner become a cat who is closest to StarClan? Unbeknownst to her and Mudfur, it was Hawkfrost, not StarClan, who left the moth's wing 'sign' outside the medicine cat den that allowed her to become a medicine cat.

Upon finding this out, Mothwing's potential faith in StarClan crumbled, though she still insists that she can be a medicine cat with herbs and healing, and does not require the guidance of fictional beings to help her. The only cat who knows of her atheism is Leafpool, her good friend in ThunderClan.

In The Power Of Three Mothwing gets an apprentice Willowpaw, which ends the dilemma of her lack of connection with StarClan. Leafpool is able to visit Willowpaw in her dreams to help her interpret and learn from StarClan.
