Lionheart is a big, powerful golden tabby with green eyes and long fur like a lion's mane.

Lionheart is a stern but good-tempered tom, whose first priority is the safety of his Clan. He is a good mentor, who is both kind, serious and wise, but sometimes gruff.

Lionheart is the first, along with Bluestar and Graypaw to meet Rusty and is skeptical when Bluestar invites the kittypet to join the Clan [ITW1]. He returns the next day to bring Rusty to camp and takes on his training as well as Graypaws'. He is named deputy of ThunderClan after the death of Redtail [ITW4], and is later slain in battle with ShadowClan [ITW17].
GENERAL
Lionheart is one of the first cats to meet Firepaw, and it is his judgment that confirms Bluestar's choice to invite the kittypet into the Clan. After Redtail's death, Lionheart is pleased to be named deputy in his stead, but is soon killed by a ShadowClan battle. We see him again when giving Firestar his nine lives, and once more in Sunset...
