PHYSICAL

Hollypaw is a black she-cat with bright green eyes.

PERSONALITY

Hollypaw's personality changed between The SIght and Dark River. Generally she is diplomatic and curious about the warrior code. She's a thinker - and a fighter, and uses her keen intelligence in battle strategy, but finds herself often questioning the wisdom of the warrior code.

HISTORY

THE SIGHT listed as ThunderClan kit: Daughter of Squirrelflight

Hollypaw first appears in this book. When evidence of a fox is found on ThunderClan territory, Lionkit, Jaykit and Hollykit leave camp to try and find it. They do, and are lucky to get out of the mess alive. Later on Hollykit is apprenticed to Leafpool, deciding that she wants to be a medicine cat. Leafpool is clearly uncomfortable with the decision, as she originally wanted to have Jaypaw as her apprentice. Hollypaw struggles with her decision, and finds herself wishing she could be battle training, which she has an obvious talent for.

When Hollypaw finally realizes she was not cut out for being a medicine cat, she approaches Firestar (as does her brother Jaypaw, with the opposite request) and is apprenticed to Brackenfur. She competes later against Ivypaw in the daylight gathering.

DARK RIVER listed as ThunderClan apprentice: Hollypaw

In this book we see that Hollypaw and Cinderpaw are close friends. They discover Lionpaw, Hollypaw's brother, is meeting secretly with Heatherpaw and tell them to stop which creates a rift between Lionpaw and Hollypaw. Later on Hollypaw is concerned for the safety of her friend Willowpaw, and the troubles in RiverClan. She sneaks away from camp to do what she believes will prevent a war, but ends up getting held prisoner in RiverClan while her Clan panics and looks for her. Squirrelflight appears to take her back home.

At the end of the book Hollypaw goes with her brothers to rescue the WindClan kits from the underground tunnels before a war breaks out. The tunnels begin to flood and it is Jaypaw with the spirit of Fallen Leaves that save their lives.
