PHYSICAL

Crowfeather is a smoky gray-black tom with bright blue eyes and a rather small head on his lean shoulders.

PERSONALITY

Crowfeather, as an apprentice, was prickly, outrageously stubborn and secretive. As the youngest of the group, he remained very defensive until he began to soften up, on account of his friendship with Feathertail. The apprentice began to open up more, until her death, at which time he grew sombre and defensive once more. When he fell in love with Leafpool, he became a bit of a desperate, and hopelessly convinced her to run away with him. Now, he has closed himself once again to anyone outside his Clan; and reacts to Leafpool's bitterness with only indifference and awkwardness.

HISTORY

Crowfeather was chosen by StarClan's Deadfoot (much to the reluctance of many cats) to carry out the journey to Sun Drown Place, when he was only a young and prickly apprentice of WindClan. His honor among his Clan mates was already bruised when he left without telling anyone.

Traveling with the four chosen, and their two companions, Crowfeather slowly opened up to them. It was only made possible by his close friendship with Feathertail, which soon developed into more then just a friendship. He was devastated when she ended up sacrificing herself for his life. Taking turn for a more sombre attitude and endlessly grieving, even when they returned to the Clans, Crowpaw requested his name be Crowfeather, in honor of the warrior who did not return from the journey.

When the cats travelled to the new territory beside the lake, Leafpool, ThunderClan's medicine cat, gave Crowfeather the same options as Feathertail when he saw her dangling from a cliff. Let her fall--and die below, or save her. This time, he saves Leafpool, and with the words "I love you." he is gone, leaving Leafpool bewildered, and hopeful.

The situation escalates to the point where Leafpool and Crowfeather decide to take their secret affair away from the Clans, and leave their homes forever. But soon, they have to turn back to save ThunderClan from certain destruction. It is only after the battle with badgers that Leafpool admits to Crowfeather that her heart, as a medicine cat, lies only with StarClan, and can not be his. Left by another lover, Crowfeather returns to WindClan; but this time his romance has costed him trust among his Clanmates. In there eyes, he has betrayed WindClan. In hopes to prove his intentions of staying a loyal WindClanner, Crowfeather becomes the mate of Nightcloud, a WindClan queen, and has a son--Breezepaw--who appears in The Sight.
