PERSONALITY

Cloudtail is arrogent, but respected by his peers. He was born a kitty-pet, and perhaps this is why his belief in StarClan is non-existent. He is a skilled and strong warrior, and despite his boastful and disrespectful nature he also has a caring and stubbornly determined side.

HISTORY

Before Cloudtail was born, Fireheart started to visit his sister in Twoleg Place. Princess, the pretty kitty-pet, was pregnant with kits, and when they were born, her Twolegs wanted to give them away to other homes. But for her firstborn, a fluffy white kitten, Princess asked Fireheart to take him to ThunderClan. Lonely to have kin in his Clan, Fireheart accepted the offer. The Clan, including Bluestar, was angered by the way Fireheart brought the kit from Twoleg Place, but fortunately Bluestar accepted him to their Clan-- but she refused to honor him with a formal naming ceremony. Cloudtail was raised by the ThunderClan queen Brindleface, having no idea why so many cats gave him nasty looks because he was a kitty-pet.

One event of Cloudkit's mischief was when he scared his adopted mother when his littermates and him went hunting. They caught a vole-- but kits hunting was against the warrior code, and Bluestar was very angry at all three of them. Fireheart soon told Cloudtail the truth; that he wasn't originally Clan born. Cloudtail was devestated and angry, and vowed to prove himself to the Clan. Fireheart was appointed his mentor.

It was soon after that Cloudpaw, unaware of the wrong he was comitting, started visiting a friendly Twoleg Home, and eating kitty-pet food. When Fireheart found out he warned Cloudpaw he couldn't have a paw in both worlds, but Cloudpaw blew him off and continued to do what he was doing. Fearing for his place in the Clan, Fireheart didn't tell on his apprentice. It was only until the twolegs took Cloudtail away and he was trapped inside their home that he realized the mistake he had made. Fireheart and Sandstorm were the ones who rescued him. When he returned to the Clan, Cloudpaw claimed he had been taken against his will, and related his adventures to his awed littermates.

But his misadventures were not over. Cloudtail remained disrespectful and arrogant towards his mentor, often disobeying him and ignoring his word. He didn't believe in StarClan, and claimed that he was stronger and faster then any other apprentice, so why should it matter anything else? Fireheart threatened that he would never become a warrior if he didn't learn some humility and respect. On the way to a gathering he publicly let slip that he believe StarClan was just a tale for kits, and Bluestar, in her insanity, said that they needed more Warriors that thought like that. She made Cloudtail a warrior without Fireheart's consent.

But Fireheart soon realized that he had never noticed how much repsect and compassion Cloudtail held with his friends. Brightpaw especially-- the future mate of the white warrior. When Brightpaw was brutally injured by a dog, and faced never becoming a warrior, it was Cloudtail that told her she was still beautiful, and trained her so that she got her true warrior name. In The New Prophecy, Cloudtail and Brightheart have a single kit, Whitepaw.
