PERSONALITY
Brambleclaw as an apprentice was judged by his Clan because of who his father was, and he has worked hard to shed that reputation by showing his strength and loyalty in all that he did. Later on, he proved to be a capable and authoritative natural leader, but his alliances will always be torn between the ambition and darkness of his father, and the loyalty and nobility that is his mentor, Firestar.

HISTORY

In the original series Goldenflower, Brambleclaw's mother, was concerned for his safety in the Clan when the crimes of his father were revealed. Bramblekit remained oblivious to the reason behind the Clan's suspicions against him until Fireheart, the cat who would become his mentor, told him and his sister. Bitter, but determined to prove them wrong, Bramblekit became an apprentice to Fireheart, and proved his loyalty to eventually receive his warrior name in Firestar's Quest.

Brambleclaw was arguably the main character in The New Prophecy, and was chosen by Bluestar to save ThunderClan from the threat of the twolegs. On the journey he developed a close bond to his fellow chosen, and especially to Squirrelpaw.

Brambleclaw's story really begins in Starlight, when he develops a close bond with Hawkfrost, his sinister half-brother, which tears the friendship he has with Squirrelflight apart. He begins visiting his father in dreams, pulled in by finally being accepted and allowing his ambitious nature to be released. Hawkfrost also dreams with him.

His father and his brother make plans to take over the forest, and though Brambleclaw is unsure of the path he wishes to take, his brother nearly makes his mind up for him when Hawkfrost offers Brambleclaw a choice: kill the vulnerable Firestar, who is trapped in a fox trap, or kill him. Brambleclaw hesitates, but fulfills the prophecy of "blood spills blood" when he murders Hawkfrost. Firestar names Brambleclaw his deputy soon after, and even when Graystripe returns, he keeps the position.

In The Power Of Three Brambleclaw has three kits with Squirrelflight, but Vicky tells us that his story is not yet complete...
