BERRYNOSE X POPPYFROST

The shocking follow up to Berrynose x Honeyfern-- after her death, fans wanted to know, what would happen to Berrynose?

The Fourth Apprentice, pg. 131

"Hey, we survived, didn't we?" Tigerheart interrupted his Clanmate. Of all the cats, Lionblaze thought Tigerheart was the least affected by their danger; his eyes were gleaming, as if he had enjoyed the excitement. "We showed those dumb Twolegs! They were terrified! Who cares if we meet them again?" Turning to Dovepaw, he added, "Don't worry, I'll protect you."

Lionblaze felt faintly amused as he saw Dovepaw's jaws drop open in outrage. "I can protect myself!"

In this scene, Dovepaw and Tigerheart are on the patrol investigating the dammed lake. Apparently they run into some trouble from twolegs, but it's no worry, since bold little Tigerheart is ready to keep Dovepaw safe. :D

A few heartbeats later, Tigerheart dropped back to walk alongside her. "Are you okay?" he asked, his voice full of concern.

"It was just a dead deer." Dovepaw tried to sound as if the sight hadn't shaken her. She didn't want Tigerheart to start treating her like a helpless kit.

The pervious quote could have just been arrogance talking, but this time Tigerheart has legitimate concern in his voice. He obviously noticed that Dovepaw has been disturbed by the appearance of a dead deer, but she's still trying to prove herself to him.
