Victoria Holmes: Yes they are half-brothers - they share the same father who "loved staring into the forest", even though he was a kittypet. In Bluestar's Prophecy, there's some hints as to who this is..!

Marissa ********: Hey Vicky, in the original arc, it said that Oakheart died when he and Redtail tumbled under an overhang and suddenly it collapsed and killed Oakheart. Whenever any of the Clan cats hunted or patrol near Sunningrocks, the overhang or the spot where the rocks collapsed was never mentioned. Does it just blend in with Sunningrocks?

Another question. When Ravenpaw was telling his version of the battle with RiverClan at the Gathering, why didnt the RiverClan apprentices say anything when he didnt say some things or said something else instead? Didnt their warriors tell them what happened?

Victoria Holmes: Yes, the rockfall just blended in with the rest of the tumbled rocks. When Ravenpaw narrated his version of events, the apprentices that were listening didn't know the truth. Also, the nature of Sunningrocks is that things can happen out of sight because of all the nooks and crannies, so the actual events might not have been witnessed. Vicky x

Kathy ****: Vicky I have another question..(sorry if I am overwhelming you with questions). Shouldn't Minnowpaw really become a warrior now, considering the fact that she's a moon older than Mousewhisker, Berrynose, and Hazeltail? She's been an apprentice for 6 books!

Victoria Holmes: Don't worry, I think I fixed this already in a book that hasn't yet been published. Oops.

Whiteberry SkyClan: Vicky, if you are more than just an editor, can you tell us what else you do for Warriros? Do you help write it, too? Or is that just for Kate and Cherith?

Victoria Holmes: Hi Whiteberry-Swiftstar. I come up with all the storylines and characters for Kate, Cherith and Tui, so I write about half of each manuscript, then they expand it to the full length in glorious technicolour. Victoria Holmes: Oh my, Stephanie, I have to confess that without going back and reading Series One, I'm not absolutely sure. Though I love the idea of Lionheart fathering Thornclaw and Brackenfur - Brackenfur is totally like lovely Lion!

Victoria Holmes: Hi Devyn. Well, Poppyfrost DOES have a mate and kits in OOTS1. Only a few more weeks until the book is out and you can find out! Peri *****: Not sure if it's been answered before, but where does the series take place? I remember reading that the forest from the first series and part of TNP was based on one in England, but since Sharptooth is a mountain lion, it must be in the America...s. Which country is it in? :D Canada or the United States? Just curious.

Victoria Holmes: Lydia is right: the first series was set in the county of Hampshire in the UK (on the South Coast, near where I grew up). Then I invented an imaginary setting for the journey to the lake, and when they encountered a mountain lion I realized they must have crossed the Atlantic somewhere along the line because American wildlife had started appearing! So it's a fictitious island somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic which has a unique blend of British and American flora and fauna... Vicky x

Victoria Holmes: The first part of the adventure game appears in the back of OOTS1, which launches on November 24th.

Jessica **** I have a question Vicky. Well a few really. Have you ever been on Warriors Wish? And how do you come up with so many names? I'm making a story with warrior like names (Its about dogs.) and I need some names for them. Also, I've heard rumors that there is going to be a third series call Thieves, its supposedly about foxes or otters, I would like to know if its true or not so I can tell my friend. She loves Seekers. Also is there going to be another set of Seekers books? And I have another question, what is (If you can tell me, but I doubt you will but anyway..) Bumblekit, Blossomkit, and Briarkit's warrior names going to be and who will their mentors be? You said in The Sight that Brightheart could have either Foxpaw or Icepaw for her apprentice. Did you forget? I would love for her to mentor Toadkit, or Blossomkit. I'm done asking questions. For now anyway.

Rebecca **** Hey Vicky, you missed my question way down there, about whether Jake is Firestar's dad, and asking who Graypaw/Ravenpaw/Sandpaw/Dustpaw's parents are. Anyway, I thought you'd be interested in knowing how many characters you have in Warriors. So I made a list of all the named characters - regular books, mangas, special editions - and counted: there are 560 named characters in Warriors!

Victoria Holmes: It feels like I've made up A THOUSAND names so far, sigh! Sorry for missing your question, Rebecca. Graypaw's parents were Willowpelt and Patchpelt; Dustpaw and Ravenpaw's parents (yup, they were littermates! But Dustpaw NEVER admitted it!) were Robinwing and Fuzzypelt. And Sandpaw's folks were Brindleface and Redtail.

Rebecca **** Cool, thanks for answering, Vicky! I actually had a theory that Robinwing was Dustpelt's mother, but it's great to finally know. :D (How about Jake being Firestar's father - is that true? Sorry, I feel like I keep bothering you!)

Victoria Holmes: Well, I got married quite a while ago, and my husband is most definitely not a Warriors fan! In fact, he hasn't read a single word of anything that I've written; his excuse is that it would be embarrassing if he didn't like it. :) Ruby, I wouldn't choose to be Firestar for any of the series. I think I'd be Graystripe, actually. He gets the best adventures - romance, DOOM, kidnap, escape, new romance, reuniting with old friends... I've had some queries about coming on tour (hi, Swiftstar!) and I'm afraid I won't be visiting the US again this year, but I'll be back in next Spring, I promise. Victoria Holmes: Swiftstar, we're not arguing, just trying to come up with something that we like and our publisher likes and the designer likes and that fits the story and isn't too long and doesn't repeat a previous title... I laugh SO MUCH when I read the rumours about names for books and series that don't even exist yet. :) I mean, who actually makes stuff like this up and then pretends that it's REAL? Rest assured, plans for a fifth series are far too vague for it to have a title. As for all the rumoured shippings for poor old Jay, can you just wait and see? ;) Finally, the poisonous liquid in Twilight was some kind of nameless chemical that should have been disposed of safely as Toxic Waste. Though I quite like the idea of pulped mouldy potatoes... Vicky x
