Hollykit and Lionkit are discussing why they should've not gone--Hollykit is angry because Jaykit landed them in more trouble. Squirrelflight, Brambleclaw, and Firestar arrive, and Hollykit reflects on what happened after the three kits got separated in Chapter 3. Firestar reprimands them, but does not make a decision on when they will become apprentices.
Hollykit goes to visit Jaykit, and she's fascinated by the medicine cat knowledge of Leafpool. She imagines being important to the Clan like Leafpool.
