Another dream with Silverstream convinces Graystripe that he must find ThunderClan. He goes to find Millie, and asks her to come with him. Put on the spot, Millie must decline, claiming that she can't abandon her life so easily. They part ways, and Millie is obviously troubled.

The roads are not friendly for a warrior-gone-kittypet, and Graystripe ends up collapsing in a concrete pipe, where he imagines a morbid ThunderClan visiting him, and is woken up when his hallucinations merge with reality - Millie has appeared, and brings Graystripe water. After he recovers, Millie admits that she came looking for him, and wants to join him. They walk off into the sunset, and Millie promises that she'll always be there for Graystripe.
