His spirit rekindled after meeting with Silverstream in a dream, Graystripe creates a plan to escape twoleg place, and do whatever it takes to find his home again. But first, he must find Millie, who he needs to be his guide. He finds her, but she has a surprise to show him first. A small forest. And as they explore it, Graystripe tells Millie about the forest. Millie wants to hunt, and then she wants to fight.

Soon, Graystripe is training her in the ways of a warrior. But when their training session is interrupted by Duke and his gang, Graystripe realizes that he is no longer a warrior, even when when he is able to defeat Duke. He dismisses Millie harshly and goes back to his twolegs.
