Graystripe decides to try his luck again in the garden, and finds this attempt for successful. After catching a beetle, the twoleg kits show up. Graystripe is tricked into thinking that the twoleg to they carry is a real mouse, and he is frustrated to find it only a kittypet toy. Deciding that he can not be a kittypet, he hops the garden fence and runs into a dog, a lawnmower, and a car in just a few short frames. He returns home, but finds that his twolegs won't let let him out again!
So when he finds an open window, he doesn't hesitate to try once more, and travels from twoleg garden to twoleg garden until he meets a ferocious kittypet who defends his own territory. Running from the fight, Graystripe meets a much friendlier kittypet named Millie, who leads him back home. Graystripe dreams, and in the dream he is visited by his mate, Silverstream, and his daughter, Feathertail..
