Bluestar leads a patrol that finds Yellowfang and Firepaw. She is furious that Firepaw has eaten, but interested to have such a prestigious prisoner - Yellowfang is the former ShadowClan medicine cat. The patrol escorts both cats to the camp, and Firepaw worries for his future in the Clan. Yellowfang is held prisoner a the Clan shares tongues and eats. Firepaw is allowed no prey. Afterwards a Clan meeting is called, and Bluestar shares her news - WindClan has been driven out by ShadowClan. Bluestar decides to take on Firepaw as an apprentice and announces his punishment will be caring for Yellowfang until she can do so herself.
