Firepaw is on his first solo assignment hunting. Though he is hungry he is determined to complete his task, and the hunting goes well until Graypaw interrupts. Graypaw helps him hunt, and soon enough they near the Thunderpath. Firepaw's curiosity gets the better of him and he goes to touch the hard surface - having only enough time to glimpse a pair of ShadowClan eyes on the other side before a twoleg monster nearly clips him. Graypaw scolds him and leaves to join a patrol.
