Yellowfang poses as a prisoner of her ShadowClan comrades and they enter the camp while ThunderClan waits outside. At the sounds of battle, ThunderClan rushes in and a vicious fight begins between the two forces. Yellowfang has spoken true - ShadowClan make feeble attempts to fight the invaders, Brokenstar's elite guard are the only true fighters. As the outcome of the fight becomes clearer ShadowClan turns on Brokenstar and his allies, and with a promise for revenge, the flee the battle. Yellowfang decides to return to ThunderClan to become the new medicine cat at Whitestorm's invitation, and ShadowClan are granted peaceful moons to rebuild their ravaged Clan.
