The Clan is calling for Yellowfang's death, but a storm has whipped up and Bluestar says they must wait. She then speaks with Firepaw privately, asking him to find Yellowfang and bring her back. If she is guilty, Bluestar says she will kill Yellowfang herself, but she does not want to see an innocent cat die. Firepaw finds Graypaw and Ravenpaw, thinking fast and they set off following Yellowfang's trail. Firepaw has another idea as well; Ravenpaw is not longer safe in ThunderClan, so he proposes the black apprentice goes to live with Barley on the edge of WindClan territory. It may be Ravenpaw's last chance, so he complies, heading across the abandoned moor as Graypaw and Firepaw continue on their own mission.
