The ThunderClanners join the fighting -- Fireheart launches himself on a ShadowClan tom who is fighting Morningflower, and the other ThunderClanners on other equal opponents. In the back of his mind Fireheart worries for Graystripe, wondering if Silverstream will be fighting. His fears as confirmed as he sees Graystripe sails past RiverClanners to attack those from ShadowClan. Fireheart hears the call of Tigerclaw, and heads toward the deputy, only to have Leopardfur attack him. Fireheart flips over, discovering too late that he's created a vulnerable position for himself, and Leopardfur takes no time in scoring her claws down his belly. Fireheart calls furtively for Tigerclaw's help, but the sinister deputy will only watch him suffer from farther away. Fireheart lunges upward and fights back the RiverClan deputy, he escapes her only to be attacked by another familiar RiverClan she-cat -- Silverstream! He prepares to attack back, but Graystripe meets his eye and calls out, and Silverstream recognizes him and Fireheart allows her to escape -- Darkstripe notices. As ShadowClan is driven out, Crookedstar faces Tigerclaw and is soon defeated, RiverClan follows him out of the camp. WindClan and ThunderClan have won this time, but Fireheart's thoughts are swirling -- it was not Graystripe he could not trust, but Tigerclaw. The dark deputy's performance today proved that. As they head back to camp Graystripe approaches him with a confession -- it was harder then he had thought to fight; he felt as if he were fighting Silverstream's clanmates, not enemy warriors. It seems their friendship will mend now, but Fireheart has other worries -- Darkstripe has reported Silverstream's easy escape from the claws of Fireheart to Tigerclaw, and the deputy is becoming suspicious.
