Fireheart wakes up, the echoing of Spottedleaf's words still haunting his mind. As he leaves the warrior's den and wonders if he should join the dawn patrol, the scent of WindClan travels on the wind. Seconds later Onewhisker bursts into the camp, with an urgent plea -- RiverClan and ShadowClan are invading the WindClan camp, and Tallstar refuses to be driven out again. If ThunderClan does not help, WindClan will die. The Clan is reluctant, but Bluestar and Tigerclaw point out that if WindClan falls ThunderClan will be left alone with two united Clans against them. Tigerclaw organizes patrols, while Bluestar will stay back in camp. Fireheart is on the first party, but as they leave towards the moors, Willowpelt senses them being followed. It's Cloudkit and his companions, wanting to join the battle. Fireheart sends Brackenpaw to take the kits back to camp, and then leads the patrol to WindClan camp. As they reach the crest of the valley, the sound of furious fighting comes from below.
